Physician Assistant Studies

See Yourself as a PA at RMC
At RMC, you’ll earn your Master of Science in PA Studies in 24 months, taught by faculty with the range of a real hospital care team. That includes a pharmacist (PharmD) and an occupational therapist who also holds a PhD in clinical anatomy.

Turn your passion into a personalized learning path at Randolph-Macon College.
RMC’s PA program holds Accreditation-Provisional status from ARC-PA. Your first year lives in Duke Hall, RMC’s state-of-the-art home for preclinical coursework, before seven six-week clinical rotations in year two take you from emergency medicine to surgery to women’s health.
That range carries into the classroom too, where faculty trained in pharmacy, clinical anatomy, occupational therapy, and physician assistant practice teach side by side. Step outside Duke Hall and you’re 20 minutes from Richmond, with Ashland’s own Amtrak station a five-minute walk away for an easy ride up and down the East Coast.

Be a PA, and more
Think. Feel. Know. Do. That’s the philosophy behind every course in RMC’s PA program, built to train clinicians who diagnose with precision and connect with patients just as well. And if you’re an RMC undergrad who meets admission criteria, you’re guaranteed an interview.
You’ll also train alongside classmates who reflect the communities RMC PA is built to serve. Every incoming class has exceeded the program’s own diversity benchmark, with 25% to 54% of students first-generation college students or from medically underserved areas.
