At RMC, you’ll choose a specialization in American politics, international relations, or foreign and comparative politics, and build a four-year path around it. Faculty mentor you through original research projects and internship placements from your first year on.
That combination prepares you for careers in law, public administration, diplomacy, election campaigns, social justice, and public service. Recent alumni work in legislative affairs, the Office of the Attorney General, the U.S. House of Representatives, FEMA, law, and international affairs.

Political science at RMC extends well beyond the classroom. Travel courses have taken students to Tokyo to compare legislatures with the U.S. Congress, and to New Hampshire to work directly on a presidential campaign during the first-in-the-nation primary.
You’ll also find community in groups like Pi Sigma Alpha (the political science honor society), Young Democrats, and College Republicans, alongside alumni now working in Congress, state government, and international affairs.
